Family Pictures 2010

It's always intimidating trying to get ready for family pictures, but with 6 kids the task seemed a little too much for me. Maybe that's why we haven't had a family picture done for 5 years (okay, I guess I can't blame that on SIX kids). Anyway, on Saturday we finally did it! We coordinated our clothing, drove 1 hour to find the perfect bluebonnet patch (it is the Texas state flower after all), put on our best smiles, and got some beautiful pictures.

It wasn't easy though. First of all we had to deal with a grumpy 15 year old. Then along came a 2 year old who decided the only nap he would take that day would be in the car on the way to the photo shoot. Needless to say, he was not ready to wake up and definitely not ready to give up his bottle! While trying to deal with Kaleb, poor little Josh stood right in the middle of a red ant hill and became a mid-afternoon snack for the very annoying Texas pests. In case you don't know, red ant bites really hurt! He was a trooper though, and didn't let it stop him from being sweet & cooperative. Quite a feat for a 5 year old.

All in all, things turned out well and we are pleased with the results. As you can tell, the 15 year old had nothing to be grumpy about because she looked as beautiful as ever!

Enjoy!
